The weather has been up and down like the proverbial roller coaster and dressing has become a crap shoot - you can be weather appropriate in the morning and freezing, or sweating, in the afternoon. This dress kind of covers both possibilities, as it has short sleeves, but the fabric is thick and soft so it's cozy. It has a flattering shape and an office appropriate length...
Which meant the necessary addition of, in the words of Sarah Misfit, some "foof and faff" in the form of a lacy full slip, funky boots and KITTY SOCKS! Over the course of the day, at least three people said, "OMG, are those cats on your socks??"
There was a bit of a party going on on top too, as I channelled my inner Rosie the Riveter (We Can Do it!), complete with rhinestones.
The pattern on this scarf is what sold it -- I had better make sure the scarf and my socks don't come in contact or there will be feathers everywhere.....
