I see this woman downtown quite often, and when I came across her waiting for a bus in this beautiful turquoise pants and tunic (I know there is a name for this outfit worn by women from India, but I don't know what it is--feel free to help me out here) I knew it was her blog moment. I also loved how the bright yellow cover of her book popped against the turquoise. A friend had given her the outfit which was not only very comfortable in the extreme heat we had during the summer, but also her favourite colour.
Do you mean a sari?
ReplyDeleteLooks more like a salwar kameez.
ReplyDeleteIt's called a salwar suit or a salwar kameez (salwar being the trousers and kameez or suit being the tuniclike top)
ReplyDeleteIt's a traditional indian-pakistani-bangladeshi outfit.
I don't know why I have this feeling that I have seen this lady in Toronto as well.
Love from Toronto
Thanks Trishna! I don't know if this woman (whose name is Susan) spends time in Toronto, but she is always around downtown London, and very passionate about environmental and social issues.
